About Dr. Davis
Craig Davis, DDS, MSD
The first phrases that come to mind when describing Dr. Craig Davis are “enthusiastic,” “talented,” “good-humored,” and “a passionate perfectionist.” While Dr. Davis maintains a light-hearted enjoyment of his work and patients, his practice was founded in, and grows out of, his strong sense of ethics, resulting in the highest personal and professional standards.
Dr. Davis has been providing outstanding orthodontic care to Sonoma County residents since 1985.
He inherited his professional inclination from his father, who was the first dentist to serve the Rohnert Park community. Prior to dental school, Dr. Davis attended Santa Rosa Junior College and UC Davis, where he graduated in Biochemistry in 1980. He then attended the prestigious University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, graduating with honors, and obtained his DDS and Master of Science in Orthodontics. While there, Dr. Davis was granted membership into the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honorary Dental Society and the Alpha Chapter of Tau Kappa Omega for scholastic achievement. Prior to graduation, he also received an Award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oro-Facial Complex.
With his formal education complete, Dr. Davis continues to stay at the forefront of orthodontics. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the California State Society of Orthodontics, the and the American Board of Orthodontists (ABO). Dr. Davis makes furthering his education an integral part of his service, and he and his staff attend continuing education courses annually. He is also distinguished with the ABO as having the renowned status of an Orthodontic Diplomate (for more information, please see our board certified page.)
Dr. Davis is a diligent contributor to the community. His great pleasure and belief is to generously give back to the community that has invested in him. Dr. Davis avidly supports the Rohnert Park Education Foundation, the Sonoma County Association of Youth Development and the Boys and Girls Club of Rohnert Park, among many other valuable associations. He and his staff regularly host elementary school field trips to their office. A former coach himself, Dr. Davis also sponsors many local youth and sports organizations.
A native of Rohnert Park, Dr. Davis attended John Reed Elementary, Rohnert Park Junior High and Rancho Cotate High schools. He grew up loving animals and time spent outdoors, and now also enjoys a round of golf and tending to his homegrown vegetable garden. His favorite sports to watch are football and baseball, but nothing can compare to spending family time with his wife, Karen, and their sons: Ryan, Brad and Dan.
